Welcome to the Ante Meridiem's PM Raid Team's History!

Let me take a moment and fill you in on the guild.

Ante Meridiem, the guild devoted to morning raiding on the Stormrage Server [Alliance], has been around for about 3 years now. We formed up the summer before TBC to accommodate the need of several individuals interested in raiding in the morning.

We pug'ed through ZG and MC growing as we went. About 3 months after the guild was formed, we were doing guild-only MC, ZG, AQ20 and beginning to venture into BWL. When TBC hit, we took a few months to test the waters, enjoy the grind to 70 and around April, we hit raiding once again. During our time in the Outlands, we cleared and farmed all content up to and including Felmyst (3rd boss in Sunwell). As WoTLK approached, we slacked on our raiding to prepare for the push to 80.

Once WoTLK started, we took about a month to enjoy the new zones and instances. We started raiding late December on the PM Team. The AM Team started shortly after, and by the beginning of March we had cleared all current content including OS-3D on both teams.

Now, let me explain how the PM Team was formed.

I won't use names, so lets be very general. A group of individuals approached Ante Meridiem to begin a PM Raid Team around summer after TBC. These individuals started our strives in Karazhan, running 2-3 teams a week gearing out members and having a blast. However, the leadership took a turn for the worse and they never got rolling into 25man content. This period is what we call "PM 1.0"

Shortly after, a new group of individuals decided to head up the formation of a 25man PM Raid Team. This team worked on SSC and briefly touched TK. However, the Raid Leader at the time decided he wanted to venture into forming his own guild and tore apart the PM Raid Team to build his ranks. This period is what we called "PM 2.0"

After this era, I (Veylla aka Bellarionna) moved to the PM Raid Team to help restructure and reform. This was the period of "PM 3.0". We full cleared SSC, Magtheridon's Lair and all but Kael'Thas in TK. However, shortly before Christmas, we had what we called a "mass exodus" where about 15 regular raiders decide to retire, quit playing or transfer servers all within a 3 week period. Recruiting such a large loss was impossible to do while continuing to raid.

The final remaining members, most of them still on the team today, decided that we were not giving up. Together we built "PM 4.0". We recruited, geared and trained a new core to raid with us. We decided to move ahead and started this new team in Mount Hyjal, Black Temple and eventually Sunwell. We succeeded at an alarming rate. This team ran strong for a year before the WotLK was released. At the release of WotLK almost every raider stayed on board. We took our time to level, and hit the current content with a force. We have all content on farm status just about 2 months after we started.

Let me explain our current raid schedule.

We raid 3 days a week. Yes, 3 days! We "work" hard and we "play" hard. The PM Team raids 3 days a week, however, during those raids we stay focused and on track. That is how we keep up with all the other guilds that raid 4-5-6 days a week.

We raid Tuesday 7pm-11pm, Sunday 6pm-11pm and Monday 7pm-11pm. All times are Eastern time or Server time.

Now, this is where I have to add the recruitment note. We only raid 3 days a week, so we expect 100% attendance from every member. If you cannot make every raid day, please do not apply. We like to log on, jump in a raid and go. We don't want to worry about who can't make Sunday's or who can only play every other Tuesday.

However, you are always excused from "real life" emergencies that come up and are unavoidable. As long as you post on the forums and let your team know, there is no problem or punishment. (ie: work emergency, illness of you or a loved one, etc)

Now a few rules to let you know about.

  • You must be level 80, period. No exceptions. Please do not bother doing an "I'm almost level 80, get ready" application. We wont even bother to respond.
  • Our guild chat and Ventrilo conversations often times can be borderline rated R and to make sure players are mature enough we have a minimum guild age requirement of 18 years old. There will be NO exceptions, so please do not ask. IF your birthday is just a week / month away, please wait to apply.

Now on to the juicy stuff, required Addons for raiding.

  • All Applicants = Ventrilo and Deadly Boss Mods. You must have these addons!
  • DPS = Omen Threat Meter
  • Tanks = Ventrilo with a working headset. I expect tanks to call out moves and pulls. If you can't talk or you have some crazy echo from a mic and speakers it just isn't going to work.

What are you thinking? Does this seem like a place you might enjoy?

After you have determined that you meet all of these requirements you will want go to the forums and check out the PM Applicant section for a copy of our application.

Remember, this is most likely our first impression of you, so make it a good one, we tend to frown on one word answers... It gives us (the guild) a chance to get to know you before you even join. I highly recommend you format your application to fit your personality.

Please use your in-game character name and real email address or the registration will fail. Please do not use any special characters in your username or I will never be able to change your password or update your settings if needed.

Questions?

For questions about applying, registration or anything else. Feel free to contact Bellarionna or Fiachra in-game. You may also send a PM to Bellarionna or Fiachra on the forums here or, once you apply, just reply to your application with anything you need.

What should you expect after you apply?

Guild members who are your class and / or know your class will often times comment on your build, spec, gear and experience. We will ask questions, add comments and suggestions or just throw things out there to think about or discuss.

You must check back here for responses and decisions. We do not contact you in-game. If you are granted the opportunity to try-out we will tell you here and tell you when to contact us in-game.

Tryouts can last as long as one full raid week and maybe a day or two longer. We want to make sure you fit into our team. Nothing can tell you that more than just spending some time killing demons, dragons and the like. If you are saved to something, that's ok, your tryout may just extend a bit longer to see you in action in different settings. We will try to keep you informed as much as possible so you know what's going on.

How to apply, you ask?

Just head on over to the forums and check out the PM Applicant thread.
