This brought back memories.

I too was a male cheerleader. It paid my way through college at the University of Florida. While in high school, I was a state champion swimmer my sophomore year through senior year, and yet, I didn't qualify for scholarship at the University of Florida due to not having Olympic trials times. So in order to fund my schooling, I researched the sports that had less competition scholarship wise and found that cheer leading was in demand at the Universities.

I already had a background in gymnastics and a fondness for the ladies, so it seemed like destiny.

My first year on the squad, I got harassed by the wrestlers all the time by them calling me a faggot, pussy, gay, etc. My retort was a question. How is me spending a lot of time being surrounded by and handling beautiful girls gay? Yet you spend the majority of your time rolling around on the ground with a bunch of sweaty guys in leotards just inches if not directly in contact with their balls? Which sounds more gay?

Long and short, I loved cheerleading, it's enriched my life, and allowed me to be the successful individual I am today.

agreed dot. to this day i still go stunt (if i can find a flyer). i dont tumble much anymore. tried and it ended very badly. felt as if my back was being split in 2......

anywho ya i had a scholarship for moorehead state (yep i know what your thinking), university of cincinnati and comburland college. as you can see i chose not to take them and joined the army. my biggest downfall was mentioning i cheer in basic. i stunted/tumbled for HOURS on end cuz of it (one of the girls in my platoon was a flyer).

It did however allow me to meet ALOT of females. to anyone who says its gay, when they go to a competition they quickly change their minds. I loved it not only because of the ladies but the competitiveness and the extreme work outs we got. I was a running back in football and could run for days BUT put me in a 3 minute routine and im dying (dot could attest to that). Hell when I got back from Iraq I picked up a few chicks from doing drunk back tucks down the beach.

I had a buddy of mine senior year of high school come up to me and ask "A.C. aren't you embarrassed to be on the sidelines cheering with the girls and not knocking some dude out on the field?" My reply was just this "Well while you are on the field rubbing against guys in tights, im on the sideline jacking your girl." Yes im well aware they say that on Bring it and trust me I waited a LONG time to say it lol but he laughed and said "you got a good point. im going to shut up." I will say this I wish I did take the scholarships. To this day I still miss it.

Oh and I would also tell people "I garuntee in one hour I get to feel and handle more tits and ass then you will your whole entire life." most of the time it was true lol.
