Does anyone have any opinion on turtle beach headsets or better alternatives? Money isn't an object here.

I use one, they are comfortable and sound good. Very good for middle of the road headset. Though sometimes there is a high pitch whining on some audio

The
XP510 look really good, 300$ is a lot to drop but I'm tired of spending ridiculous amounts of cash every 6 months for new razer gear because it's made out of cheap plastic. Went to Best Buy and checked out the Turtle Beach display - and as my computer has a digital out on the sound card this would work with it pretty swell.

Yes thats a great one. I agree with the cheap plastic, ive lost count the amount of times i have had to return or renew a headset due to the plastic snapping just above the ear. I think you will find these robust for sure, though more expensive than some of the other turtle beach sets.

Looking for some feedback here:
So I got a USB bluetooth adapter to sync my headset as a mic too but now pretty frequently I hear what I can only describe as half a high pitch phone ring - probably described in forums as static but I've never heard it before. At first I thought it was interference from something else wireless near me but I turned everything off and it still did it. Read a couple of year old forum posts on windows 7 and "crazy static" comes up a few times.
Was wondering if anyone had experienced this and if they had any resolutions?

My TB P11 had something like that but I have a little box on my wires of the headset ones chat and others game. My game and vent come through the chat one and I just turned the game one all the way down and static gone. I think both the sound options are for if I use the headset for my PS3.

Unplugged the optical wire from the computer and wireless audio router. The feedback or interference was still happening so it has to be the bluetooth getting messed up. Moved the usb bluetooth adapter to the front and it went nuts. The audio feedback seems to be happening in almost rhythm with the leds on the front panel of my cpu. Dont know if its a coincidence or a real thing. Ill probably just say f it and exchange this headset for a xp seven.
I will try the turning down volume thing. My headset has a separate chat volume on the actual frame of the earcup.

Sorry I missed this whole thread. I got a Turtle Beach PX21 back in January. Good sound quality but ... the damn thing pinched my head, for 6 months. Too stubborn to swap. After 6 months, the point where the over-head arch attached to the "gimbals"/earcup mounts broke, on both sides, within a week of each other. So I went out and picked up a $60 steel series piece, sounds at least as good if not better, and FAR more comfortable to wear.
TL:DR - I do not recommend turtle beach.
