[Story] Dynasty

Hi all. I figured this was the appropriate place to put this thread since it's "Open Discussions", so I naturally assume anything not WoW or guild related would go here.
Long story short, I've been working on a story series since last November and I'm trying to get people to read it. It's fairly decent in length now, around 11 chapters (counting the Prologue and an Intermission chapter) and almost 300 pages double spaced. I was hoping some of you guys could give it a read and tell me what you think (though you'd have to get past the Prologue and Act 1, the two 'roughest' edges of the story since they were the very beginning and this also my first attempt at a solidified story
).

Dynasty: Origins Summary
Join Lane Silverbane as he survives deserting the Cryptic Guard military after witnessing an unlawful act of conduct in a supposed "Sanctuary of Nobility". He runs into problems on his own and ends up reluctantly joining the Crimson Gavel mafia to try and gain an Immunity for his desertion due to a deal between the Gavel and the Guard allowing that to happen. Soon enough, however, Lane discovers that the Gavel itself is worse off than the Guard and on top of that, he's framed for embezzling and discovers soon after that the Guard and the Gavel are working together to break into the sacred Shadow Vault within the sister city of Jaden, in an attempt to gain several powerful treasures that once belonged to a powerful being known as Magazor the Time Warden. With the aid of his new friends - Bernie Santo, Tay Shudo, Minnie Miller and a few others - he arrives in Jaden and takes the Crimson Gavel head on, planning to eliminate them before going after Baron Runo and his Cryptic Guard military.
