Uh oh!

http://us.battle.net/blizzcon/en/blog/13835479/Blizzcon was just announced at the beginning of November... I can safely say this guarantees WoD won't be released until late November / Early December...
I can't fathom Blizzard will drop the expansion pre-Blizzcon and eliminate that entire portion of their content from the event... What would they then talk about in regards to WoW? The next patch? The NEXT expansion? It would be a silly move as far as content and profit goes at Blizzcon, however, it does throw a bummer in it for you guys as now you'll have to wait longer for WoD.
What are your thoughts?

I said it in another thread a few months back, WoD will NOT be released before the end of Nov.
Xpac life is meant to be 2 years and that's what blz go with, why would anyone be surprised by the fact that WoD won't come sooner is beyond me.

If that is truly how they want to do things for each expansion, then they need to spread out the raid tiers better than they have. Not "drop everything the first year and then let the game stagnate for a year, then drop the next expansion" just seems ridiculous to me.

I think it's possible to read this the opposite way: that WoD will be out before Blizzcon because they wouldn't take their team away from the crunch time before the product is put out.
I'm not saying that this is what will definitely happen. Blizzard has managed to surprise me with poor decisions in the past.
In terms of what they would talk about at Blizzcon, they could always focus more on the next tier while having a heavier emphasis on their other games.
Evidence that you're correct, though, is that we have yet to see Beta.

It used to be that Blizzard respected player's boredom with running the same content for over a year... Seige of Orgrimmar was released in September of 2013... for them to go 14 months without releasing a single piece of new raid content just shows their "don't give a fuck" attitude. At least in WotLK they put out a little filler content like Ruby Sanctum Halion to bide the time before the next expac. They have transitioned from a company that rewards it's loyal fans, to a company that figures it can just cycle customers.... "bored ones will leave, new ones will join".

RS was a fucking nightmare and one of the worse "raids" ever made, I thank whoever it is in BLZ that learned from how unpopular and hated that instance was to not repeat the same mistake.
I agree they should definitely release something in the next couple of months just to keep us busy, mini raid, or anything that doesnt feel like you 'have to' do it as it's part of progression.
Progression for this xpac ends with Garrosh.

They have SOMETHING coming, if it's actually going to change the difficulty or not ... that's a good question. When 6.0 is dropped, they make SoO Mythic. So it's SOMETHING, I guess they thought it would be enough. So let's hope for a harder difficulty.

Isn't 6.0 supposed to drop around a month prior to the expansion, as in the past?
