want to come but...

I feel like I'd just end up doing old content for the most part.

I basically quit in mid-december due to not having much to do. LFR schedule, apexis dailies, garrison, no flying, and the profession gating took too much of a toll and I couldn't take it. I've been playing FFXIV: ARR, but that got boring even more quickly and that's after I got my ninja. Lately, all I've been playing is Dragon Ball Xenoverse and hearthstone with an occasional smattering of HotS.

WoW isn't a game you can expect to jump in and out from.
Unless you're 100% casual and LFR level content is enough for you. if thats the case, buy some wow tokens and use them when new content comes out, do the LFR, check out new stuff, and quit till next patch hits.
No one forces you to do the Apexis quests, garrison.. etc etc, if all you care for is raiding (the case for most of us), do what you need to do to get your toon at the best possible position and get raiding.

I know, it's just that this expansion bored the hell out of me and I don't know why. I mean, I lasted the whole 1+ year of no new content in MoP, but a month into this new expansion and poof, that was it for me. Dunno what happened. Tempted to pay for a month of game time and see how that pans out.
By the way, gratz on the blackhand kill.

Hi, Conser. The lack of dailies really decreased my enjoyment of WoD initially. That said, were you still subscribed when regular raiding came out? I've very much enjoyed those, if raiding is still your thing.

If you mean lfr, I did do the first wing of highmaul. I wasn't really impressed. If you mean flex aka normal, then no I, unfortunately, didn't.

They're fun in normal and above, in my opinion. LFR is okay for sight-seeing, but not for actually giving you the feeling of learning then mastering a new fight.

Yeah. Waited for lfr to come out so I could get a general idea of what the fights are like and what the raid looked like. But by the time they did release the raid (in normal and heroic), I was starting to feel blah about the expansion anyways. The dailies thing and the professions being gutted didn't help at all. The no flying thing made gathering professions (ie arch, fishing, lumber) tedious to the point of just no.

I hear a lot of people for some reason or another don't like WoD. I mean WoD was a big success on release but slowly subscribers has been dropping. If my stats and information is correct we are currently back down to the amount of subscribers we had at the end of MoP which is about a 6 million subscriber drop after the report back during WoD release. A lot of people have either said they got bored. it was too much of a grind with garrisons, it was the profession changes or just that we had no flying.
Overall I have been playing a little bit before Wotlk release and have never unsubbed or took a break from Wow besides a short couple months last year due to having a child which I really didn't want to but had to do. I honestly not going to sit here and say WoD is the best expansion because in my eyes the best was wotlk and MoP coming in second but I can honestly say the lack of no flying isn't that big of a deal to me nor do I feel like it's anymore of a grind fest than it was before or any different than any expansion before but then again I am and always will be a die hard Warcraft player since I haven't played nor do I want to play any other games in the past 8 years. Blizzard could most likely do a bunch of crap I honestly hate with the game and I still would play.
With that being said a lot has changed since the release of WoD even more so 6.2 will be out in a month or two and a new tier will be starting. I would suggest that now would be the best time to come back if not ever and try to catch up real fast before 6.2 hits and you could be right on track.

Get geared enough, and all you have to do is log on to raid if that's what you want.....when I get bored with this game that's what I end up doing. Raiding is what I like, pvp is usually fun, but yea when you put the time into getting the gear none of the gridfests matter
