Ante Meridiem

I know and understand that our bonds mostly exist in a virtual world. I understand that there is a time and a place for everything and maybe here and now isn't it. But I feel confident in asking this one small favor. A tragedy struck in my town today. Today at 10:30 AM EST a young man entered the high school where I graduated 7 years ago with a gun and attempted to take his own life. It hasn't been released yet whether or not he is alive but with the details made available its safe to assume that isn't likely. Luckily there seems to have been no motive to inflict harm upon others nor was anyone accidentally injured. All I ask of you guys is keep these kids in your thoughts. Hug yours if you have them. Siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews. Times are hard and what seems like an adult problem can affect an entire family. Not just the grown-ups. I dealt with some serious issues when my dad passed away when I was 12. But I was able to get passed it with nothing more than the love and support of my family. Sometimes we don't understand how much power something so small as a hug or a kind gesture truly has. It costs us nothing. But it could save one person everything.
