Weekend needs a tank... (read)

Hey guys!

If you aren't aware, Dillweed put in his 2 weeks notice on the Weekend Raid Team and he's one of our two main tanks... Not normally a big deal, I'd just recruit a tank, but come Legion I've got 2 dps wanting to switch to the tanking role... meaning I'd have not 2, not 3, but 4 tanks going into Legion. That would essentially condemn one of them for removal once we hit raiding in Legion... and I'm not keen on setting it up for a guaranteed removal.

All that being said, I'm wondering if there is a mythic end-raid tank available in game to walk in and fill the role for the next couple months. We're working on Mannaroth and Archimonde farming so it's a big shoe to walk into, but doable.

Let me know if you've got the toon and interested in filling in soon so I can decided whether or not to recruit.

Thank you!

IF we do recruit another tank and end up with 4 going in to Legion. We could always have a "tank event" lol and maybe the tank that comes in 4th can swap to a dps and stay in the group.

Would one of our current off/secondary tanks be willing to semi-permanently switch?

Who are our four tanks going into Legion? I was under the assumption that DIll said he was on an indefinite leave from raiding. EDIT: Wait, nvm. If we recruited a tank that would give us 4 /facepalm

and infe a tank event sounds like the worst thing in the world lol.

We would only need a tank for roughly 3 and a half months as (or less) ***if*** Demon hunters come in during pre patch I can hop into tanking as vengeance since the raid will be nerfed enough I think and depending on if we will ever take a break from raiding (never discussed formally I think).

If we end up with 3 tanks in legion, which looks rather likely, all of our first heroic kills we'll just bring 3 tanks in because it's heroic lol.

Are you interested in going out of guild for this spot? I actually have quite a few people in mind if you are.

lol it's been so long since I talked to a human outside of the guild that I think my only non-AM friends on my Friends list are all former AM members..

I would tank permanently if needed until Legion popped. Not sure if you want 2 DK's but I will do it.

Having extra tanks at the start of legion would not be a bad thing as far as dungeons go. Think about it with 2 tanks only 10 guildes can run together in a dungeon. I would like to have 2 solid tanks that can make it every week and only miss a raid once in a blue moon and a acceptable off tank but, seeing how dungeons might be a big deal it would require 4 tanks for 20 people raiding would be absolutely cancerous and hard to test our tanks in. But mythic + could be a place to cut a tank. It is still rough in theory though, food for thought none the less.

I would be shocked if you keep 4 tanks. I honestly believe only the people that like old school tanking will like tanking in Legion. You are heavily reliant on healers and are not the self healing, self sustained mitigation beast you are currently in WoD.

I know myself my tank gear and exp is Shit lol to say the least archy I know I can tank it just been Manny for some reason or another I'm messing something up. Im far more comfortable healing on my monk than tanking. I don't want to tank permanetly it is an off spec but I wouldn't mind filling in til we find a more suitable tank. It's not like we don't have the ability to full the roles its just not ideal withoffspec tanks. For me to better suited for tanking my trinets would need to be replaced. Kilrog and iskar are the ones I'd need.
