Now I have a big dog, a real big dog. He's around 100 LBS, is a Shepard lab mix. Friendly as a puppy, but no one enters my place without me knowing. Now being a big dog, he requires lots of walks, so I was taking him for his evening one. When I notice some parents playing with their baby on the front lawn. The baby starts to crawl towards my dog.
My dog slowed down, and I got him to lie down so they could play for a few moments. Now just think of the trust involved from all parties. The parents had to trust me and this big "dangerous" animal, and I had to trust them. The baby for some reason by instinct knew the dog wasn't dangerous (more curious by the tiny human truth be told). This isn't the first time the baby has wanted to play with dogs they told me.
If this doesn't make you go awww or have some deep hope, I don't know what will.
