These ones in particular are default ones. I might be wrong, but I've been seeing a lot of class channels bitching about poor talent choices in sims

For example boomkins best stat is haste atm, but the sim is running with an abysmal 1.15% haste. It also prioritizes the wrong BiS gear set. Some of the sims are a joke, where others with classes that have pretty rigid talent set ups are better.

So what you're saying Mag, is that there is a very good chance the person who ran and published the Sims is a feral druid.

The feral has 17% less crit than it is supposed to, as well as only 5% of our best stat.

I'm not sure who puts these together (although this is the official release) but that would be nice to know.

Yeah that's the issue sonick. The person who compiled this list of sims has most of them incorrect, un like the personal sims a lot of the theorycrafters like gahddo, kib or azortharion do for a lot of classes.

Also remember simcraft has a tough time simming proc based trinkets a lot of the time as well. A good example of this was arcane mages in HFC. As a result of PoF arcane simmed much lower than fire even though it was by far the best spec overall for progession and farm.

It'll be interesting to see where classes stand when decent parses start coming in from warcraftlogs. My bets are mages and spriests will be doing incredibly well for ranged (locks as a dark horse to be best spec), rogues, windwalker monks and unholy dk's doing great dps for melee. I'm not sure about feral but it might be up there as well.

I still see Frost mages and arcane mages as the worst of the ranged, whereas for melee I still see survival and frost dk doing by far the worst. Survival will probably have niche fights that it does well, but will be played as much as much as glad warrior was in WoD imo.

going to be hard to compete from a outlaw 6 pack attack there is nothing that can beat him single target or cleave/aoe 6 pack roll the bones is a god move

True Bearing Finishers reduce the remaining cooldown on many of your abilities by 2 sec per combo point.

COMBO

with bluring rush during AR all cooldowns recover 15% faster means pretty much a free 3 min AR ever 15 secs = GOD DPS

These things are nice to look at but really are just toxic to players. Getting a boss down has nothing to do with looking at or even trying to understand the patchwork sim. It creates the the thought of, "why am I not as good as the sim" or "why am I even playing this guy if hes on the bottom". If you are literally playing a character because you think you can solo progress a raid group because you are a feral for one tier then sadly you need to get some fresh air. I know instinctively people are going to get defensive but really chill out and play your character. If there is something that is more desired and you feel compelled to it then do it. But refrain from looking at these if you have anxiety or OCD they do nothing for you but create doubt which ultimately impacts your abilities to actually progress.

i can tell you after playing mage right now our burst is pretty good, our conserve (call it what you might, sustained damage?) is lacking quite a bit, however with our 2cnd gold trait that might (will) help alot with that part. At least its fun to play.

That's a problem with the player, not the sims themselves. Sims can be incredibly useful to see how your class stacks up to other classes, how you stack up to your classes sims, etc. It's just like rankings on parses, they're never going to tell the full story, but that doesn't mean they aren't useful.

I expect blizzard to either bring fire down or the other mage specs up; I highly doubt they want one spec in a pure dps class to dominate the other 2 in every single capacity, but we'll see

Only issues I have when looking at these types of sims is that they only reflect DPS on a Patchwerk type of fight. Very few raid bosses fall into this category. Take these numbers with a grain (or a pound) of salt.
