There is a nice clump of dps from unholy DK up. but it starts to get to far of a gap from assassination rouge on

? you mean running SR + JW?

Probably means LI + SR + JW. It really isn't that bad. The only reason we are resourced starved is because of a lack of gear.

So are they saying that Melee hunters are better then MM and BM? i wasnt expecting that...kinda surprising

It's just a simulation on a patchwerk fight, not really representative of raid encounters. I imagine MM will still be more desirable for most raids, even if it does less dps

Where are these Sims coming from? Are they using optimal rotations? What are the artifacts at? Something to remember is that patchwork Sims aren't really good for much other then figuring out what trinkets are BiS. Also most dps are already beating the mark set by this simulation.

Patchwerk sims with default APL's. This is literally the plague so don't spread around these dps metrics, they won't match raids very closely.

People are also getting the wrong impression of ranged in dungeons as they struggle where melee shine: Burst and aoe.

A lot of the talents and rotations set by the sim aren't optimized which is why there is close to a 40% variance in dps when in reality all specs are in a range of 15% dps from each other (which is still a huge delta I might add) but no where close to 40%.

Don't be fooled, ranged will still highly likely be dominant in raids

Pretty sure the simc website receives optimized APL's from theorycrafters of each class before they release their official tier sims, I could be wrong.
