Unfortunately with most PC parts and peripherals longevity is usually determined by price tag. This isn't ALWAYS the case but more often than not it is. PC stuff and shoes are 2 things I never cheap out on.

How much you're willing to spend I think depends most on your past experience with the item. I've had more bad experiences with cheap products than expensive so I tend to lean that way.

It is the Microsoft LX-3000. Price is low, works fine for years, 6 foot cord means you won't be pulling it out of the PC by accident anytime soon.
