My first bike ever was a CBR 600. That was a heavy fucker for only being a 600 but I've always been a stout guy so it wasn't bad for me. I eventually got up to a 750

Yeah definitely take it slow. Although the law varies by state, don't be one of those D bags that swerves in and out of traffic between cars. I've talked to a hundred different bikers and gotten a hundred different explanations about why they do it. Not a single one has been able to convince me its not a stupid dangerous show-offy way to drive and tbh it makes bikers look bad. Unless I'm riding with a friend I treat my bike as though its the size of a car and I keep the same distance.

No, believe it or not, I am actually a very safety conscious person. No weaving, lane splitting, etc etc. I wont even take it on the interstate for a long time...lol.

You probably don't want to take a 300 on the interstate, period. If you get passed by a semi truck or have to pass one, hold on tight! My first bike was a 500 and it was hard to control next to a big rig doing 70 on the interstate. My last bike was a Yamaha XJ1100, back in my college days. Couldn't pay me to ride one nowadays with everyone paying attention to everything but the road when they drive.

Be safe!

I started on a 250, got bored of is pretty quickly, and bought a 636, loveddddd that bike. Then I just kept buying more lol. Had a 900 and then another 600. They're super fun, just be careful. Get a go pro and mount it to your helmet incase anything happens. Gotta be ready for cops to harass you just because motorcycle. At least in NY they do :)
