Could use some thoughts on a new build

As some of you know, my computer hasn't worked well since I accidently damaged my motherboard when replacing my video card. At least I assume my motherboard given how small the part is, and those who know computers says its a part from it.

I am designing a new rig here.

To be clear some of these parts I already have, so focus on RAM, MB, CPU, RAM, HD, Optical Drive, and the cooling of the CPU when it comes times for the thoughts/comments.

Just something I put together real quick, and yes I went to the CA newegg site haha. Is there a reason for going with the 12-core or just bragging rights lol? I put the I9 16-core in the build here. just wondering and also upped the ram to 32gb. Didn't put a graphics card in there as im not sure if you like nvidia or amd better so left that alone.

All together without the GC its around 2k. From what is see that amd 3900x is out of stock at a lot of places.

Just need to clarify a few things.

This computer is for gaming, and a server for videos in my house. Instead of me saying "Where did I leave Captain America DVD". I access my computer, I find the file, and presto I am streaming it. That is why I have the 8 GB HD.

I have the following already:
The PSU
The Case
Multiple SSD Drives
The Video Card

I have my reasons for avoiding Intel. Let's see the Celeron era of CPUs (Got sold 2-3 machines with one of those that I was assured could game) The CPUs that couldn't do math, and hey the newest problem the security issue. When Intel fixed the security problem, the speed of the CPUs dropped.

As per why I am going with the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X CPU. Since I remember a time when, when I went from computer A to B. I doubled the power if not better. With an old FX-9590, I can't double 8 cores doing 4.5 Gigs yet. Given the price of Ryzen 9 3950X, yeah going to scale back a bit.

I'm rocking a ryzen 5 2600x and run a Plex server off my machine. Honestly go with a 3600 or 3600x and get higher frequency ram (3600+ is the sweet spot for zen 3) and a more robust cooling system (think aio) for some basic OC.
I'm pushing 4.8gz on all cores stable, running around 40 degrees Celsius.
Unless you are wanting to do alot of processing (video or photo) or running your own VMs no point of higher core counts.

I am going to give some secondary info on the PC (stuff that doesn't appear in the PC Part Picker)

Here are my current Hard Drives:

Internal:

1 TB SSD
500 GB SSD
3 TB (Old Style)
4 TB (Old Style)
4 TB (Old Style)

External

1 TB
8 TB

I am hoping to reattach my TVTuner Card, and get a fax modem card for this thing. I am 99% certain my old Saitek Cyborg Joystick and X-Box 360 ones don't need any updating.

I have an old LG 1.3 MP webcam.

Did I forget to mention this is all tax deductible. I just list it as office expenses for my home business...
