Steve Wilson of Porcupine Tree is by far one of the best producers in Rock music due to his "I only track instruments in one take, if you fuck up its going on the album so you best not fuck up" mentality and has a great voice coupled with an uncanny understanding of music and has worked with another one of my favorite metal bands on a couple albums. That would be Opeth.
