Guild History
What guild are you in now and why do you want to leave that guild?
I am currently part of a guild called "Might of Ashamane." We are a new guild that formed after a schism in a previous guild on a different server, where the main raid team moved over to this server. Unfortunately, poor leadership and trouble recruiting are causing several of the old raid members (and my friends) to jump ship, and I'm looking to finally join a Mythic progression guild so I can realize my true potential.
What is your motivation/reason for wanting to join Ante Meridiem?
Like I said earlier, I want to join a Mythic guild, and AM matches my current raid timeslot and has a philosophy that's close to my own. Also, my current guild has been struggling to keep up progression, especially after the split, such that I pugged Heroic ATBT and got AOTC week one, but the guild as a whole hasn't been able to clear Normal Aggramar.
How did you hear about us?
r/wowguilds post
Have you ever raided with Ante Meridiem in the past, on this or any other toon?
Unfortunately not; I'm new to this server.
The Character
How long have you been playing the class / spec that you are applying on?
I used to main Prot Paladin and Spriest from the beginning of this expac, but rerolled a Mage shortly after switching servers and have been maining Fire ever since.
Are you able to competitively play your off-spec?
I know the rotations, but I haven't simmed them with my current gear and my artifacts are a bit behind.
Do you maintain alternative raid ready characters that could be used for raid composition needs? If so, what class(es)/spec(s)?
My only other geared character is my Protection Paladin, though he's a bit behind (~920), I could easily get him geared if necessary.
What resources do you use to improve your performance in raid?
All of my alts have professions, and I do my best to stay stocked on consumables for raids. I also read guides for my class, sim myself for gear upgrades, and actively seek advice from better players to find ways to improve.
Last, but not least!
Why should we take you over a similarly skilled/geared applicant?
My parses aren't always the best, however I've learned that it's better to stay alive and mess up a rotation rather than getting off that pyroblast if it means you die right afterwards. As an ex-tank main and ex-raid leader, my attitude has always been raid before self. I used to parse in the 90+% for healing for my spec as prot paladin, because I was always using HotP and LoH to save raid members, using BoP to assist my offtank or other members with survivability, and otherwise doing my best to guarantee the success of the team, even if it means my individual raw performance suffers.
