Yes it will, and they are removing the level 25 requirement for open beta so you can play right away. I would imagine that it is not going to be that great since almost everyone that plays the ranked mode is going to be new to the game. Don't judge it solely on the how it works in the open beta.

Also in my experience, you won't really get too much team work and really competitive games until you rank up to Advanced.

Will that's basically how every ranked system works. So no harm there. I hope to be getting into a full guild group for ranked to tear things up though! And in the lower ranks i expect we will never loose or it will be shameful if so

I will say that the most powerful strategy is to counter the heroes on the other team. You must be willing to switch up which hero you are playing based on what the other team picks, especially in ranked play. It does help to know what heroes can counter others.

For example heroes that counter Torbjorn are Pharah, Widow, Hanzo, Junkrat, Reinhart, D.va, and winston. Of course you have to know HOW to counter Torbjorn with each of the heroes.

I could go on with a list of heroes that could counter the other but it it's fun to think about how you can counter the other team.

I love how much variety there is in the gameplay and each game is different from the last. I cant wait to play even more strategically with everyone.

I like the idea, but for someone like me who isn't terribly researched nor practiced, is there a guide or list of who counters who that we can reference... i can't rely on you being in my match and telling me who to and how to play them.

This one is a bit of a read, but it goes into depth on why and how the heroes counter each other as well as heroes that go very well together when on the same team.
