I've not played one minute of junkrat but I think he needs to be played very defensively... blast a group pushing you not a group your trying to push...

Junkrat is a defensive hero but can also attack just as well if played correctly. I am obviously not a highly competitive player but I can play him well regardless of the map or what our team is doing. I guess that comes from 500+ hours of playing demo in tf2.

It doesn't have a huge blast radius and dies very easy but if you place it just right it will 1 shot anything. I am very sneaky with it. I usually mine jump onto a roof and drop down on my enemies so they don't see it coming or flank them like I did in the video.

I'm not sure if "playing the mess out of it" is a compliment or an insult. So I'll reserve my comments.

I have had my moments with Junkrat, and think I am half decent at him. But yes, I feel his ultimate should have less damage, and but more health. And I wouldn't roll in pain because someone got POTG with junkrat... I have gotten quite a few myself.

As far as non-healing CD.. I don't think it's any worse or better than others... they all have their flaws and that's the point. I was playing Pharah yesterday and her alt is amazing... unless of course anyone sees you then your dead before it does any damage. Genji's is badass except if their not clumped up its hard to get more than one or two... and if they're clumped up your dead before you get one or two...

Pharah is my number 2. What works best for me is ALWAYS flying. I never just run around with her. If I cant fly I will hide until I can.

Both of those Ultimates are tied to a delivery system that has 2 to 2.5 x the health of the tire.

But its an instantaneous one-time blow up... most other ultimates are channeled to do the damage, where the tire is zoom and boom. Plus you can hide, and theoretically come back alive...

The tire is channeled for up to 10 seconds while driving. And "theoretically" and "realistically" pose huge differences in such a fast paced game.
