And yes, i would much rather dump some gold and get it... even buy a tome for every toon.

The problem with that is that gold is so common/devalued at this point for *most* of the population, that they'd have to make it something utterly excessive, or it'd just be trivial (which they clearly don't want to do).

Considering you only have to do it once per account to unlock Draenor flying for all your chars, I'm not complaining. Especially since I have all the achievements done already, just need 6.2 to come out for the new factions.
