New Job

As much as I've bitched about going to work full time now, how tired I am and as much as I hate the fact that it's taken me away from the game, I really do enjoy getting to work in the state capital. Making two cross country trips, I've seen a few state capitals, maybe I'm bias because I love the state of West Virginia, but it doesn't get much prettier than this.

What I see every morning walking into work or going on break.

I didn't take this pic, it's one that I used a few years ago when my cousin ran for Secretary of State.

Funny story about that dome, it wasn't always gold, it used to be the same color white stone as the rest of the building then 15ish years ago they decided to paint it with a very negative reaction from people of West Virginia. The first time they painted it, they must have used something extremely cheap, within maybe the first year a few panels turned a nasty black color. They repainted with something else to what you see there. The inside of that dome is a massive stained glass window structure with a 4000 piece crystal chandelier that is taken completely apart and cleaned every 4 years.
