I am sorry to have wasted everyone's time with this little excursion. After re-reading the last few posts I have come to the realization that my "This sux meter" is operating in the red zone.

The fun factor no longer exists for me for this run. Consider me done with the alt run.

For the record. Alitar and i were not "questionable on our desire to raid on our alts"

You changed the day from Friday to Saturday. Thats not what we signed up for and i communicated that very very clearly to whoever it was who was asking me to go last saturday. Frankly, i was quite frustrated that we changed the day for one person when it impacted on many more. I would like nothing more than to raid but we can't keep changing days and times etc. I get up to work at 4am so raiding beyond 11pm is not an option.

I have been trying to establish a regular crew for this run but so far a number of folks that expressed interest (names hi-lighted in yellow on main post) have not shown up without even a courtesy post to let the group know you were not going to be available. That left the group wasting a great deal of time looking for a replacement from trade chat.

Once again, ppl were informed. No need for a post, it was told in game. Do NOT change days on me and expect me to offer the same commitment i can on the day i said i could go.

It was scheduled for a Wednesday, then no one showed up (i did :)), then it moved to Thursday or Friday then quickly swapped to the other day, and then all of a sudden Saturday.

As Numerical did, I explained that my commitment was very dependent on the wife's work schedule (hence the reason i missed Saturday when you moved it to Saturday)... that I stressed to you when I was first interested in joining.

I get up for work at 1:30am, and even though I excel at getting only 2 hours of sleep, I cannot function with less than 2, so 11:00pm is absolutely cut time for me. Conveniently enough, its also the time the wife gets home so on non-work nights (like Saturdays) it would also need to be the end time for me as well.

I understand everyone has a different schedule. This is the reason for this thread. To communicate scheduling. I realize that it is hard to respond to this thread but it is even harder to personally contact everyone in game, create a personal journal that manages everyone's schedule and then figure out the best day to do this.

I am sorry that this did not work out for everyone.

As I stated in an earlier post, this alt run has yet to establish a "regular" start time. The first run was scheduled for a Wednesday and only a few folks showed up. Those that did not show did not post that they were not going to make it. Those that showed up waited around for nothing.

I hope you manage to figure out something that works for everyone. I am just going to focus on regular raiding and doing pug stuff on my alt when it tickles my fancy.

Not sure who wants to step up to try and figure out the best date/time to do this. Below is a list of folks that have expressed an interest in doing this.

I used to be able to lay the baby down at 7 on the dot and be online by 7:05, but lately he's being a bitch and not going to sleep timely... I feel like im a burden to this group by forcing you to "wait" for me, then potentially take an hour (or more) to get him to sleep....

I am officially stepping out of this run... If i pop on and you still need some one, sure, but as for now I do not want to be considered a primary member of this group

thanks and goodluck.

Run went very smooth. Maybe two silly wipes pre-Elegon. Struggled a bit on Elegon, with the first 2-3 wipes because the pug tanks didnt get their shit together. The problem came from our dispels. The debuff hits two random players, and prevents them from being healed. And it comes right before each Total Annihilation. Unfortunately hardly anyone other than myself was dispelling... which meant when that Total Annihilation was on the way, I had a choice... either A) dispell the people with the debuff, or B) Heal everyone to full so we survived. Unfortunately... failing to do either of those would (and did) result in a wipe. Just to put it in perspective, below are the dispells from Skada

Jayrizzo - 53
Borealis - 9
Lichaha - 1

We need to fix this next week. Either we 3 heal it, or we get some support dispells from the DPS classes. A shadow priest only having 1 dispel.... when they have the most OP dispell in the game, is nonsense.

In any case, grats to those that got loots. :)

I had a huge post typed up with a giant rant. But I'm changing it to this. I'm done with trying to form an alt team. Someone else lead it, and tell me what day and time to show up, and what we will be doing, and I will COMMUNICATE as to whether I can make it or not.

My Availabilities:
Sun-Tues: of course is a no go because of regular raid
Wed-Fri: Available Anytime
Sat: First Sat of every month I'm busy - otherwise free

See you all tomorrow night in HOF. Ready to kick Blade Lords ass because I spent all night wiping on it with a pug on my pally.

Also, I'm leveling a druid (lvl 40 atm) so in a few weeks I'll have a Bear Tank or Resto Healer ready to raid if you want it over my prot pally.

I already mentioned it to those who I saw online, but I have work tonite and will not be able to come to the alt run. It's not normal work, I'm doing a project for someone, blah blah blah... but in any case I really need to get this done. I'll be here next week. GL in there!

I essentially co-lead it because I really wanted it to happen and was trying to help Deth get it going.

Not sure where you got this. I merely encouraged people to still show up if they wanted to run. My thought process is that we can pug people, so might as well have those who want to go, still show up. People will always do raids on their alts, regardless of who is claiming to "run it", its going to happen with or without them. Raid Leading truly is a thankless job... whether its a main or alt run. Many dont realize it until they try to form one of these alt runs, then throw in the towel after just a few weeks of things not going their way.

Many were expecting this run to be a casual extra-curricular thing, but has turned into a lot of attitude, CAPS talk, and random spite. To be honest, every single alt run in the last 3 years I have been in this guild has taken a similar path due to attendance or performance being shotty. Its the nature of the game right now. You can thank blizzard for combining the 10-25 man lockouts, and creating an expansion where you have to spend so many hours doing dailies and grinding on your main... that you dont have much time for your alts.
