It's more like a myth. It's not ever on TV, unlike the breathtaking curling, unless all the Chinese teams that beat the Canadian team get disqualified by purposely losing games in the Olympics. Then we get to see them get destroyed in a bronze match.
Sometime you'll hear about it from someone(note that he's most likely Asian) but you have no clue what it actually is and just quietly nod.
You also probably "played" it at least once in PE back when you were in high school, but what was it if not just an excuse to hang out with friends not really caring about what is going on, like most of PE classes.
