the z68 cipset wont be delayed says intel..hah
http://www.tomshardware.com/news/cougar ... 12108.htmlz68 (combined h67 and p67 features + improved ssd caching) is then due out around april just around the time that all the faulty cougar point h67 and p67 replacement mbrds are still being despatched.
Pissed off h67 an p67 owners are going to want z68 equipped boards in exchange for theirs since they have been crapped on .
Oem manufacturers will just take the replacements .
So will "faulty chipset" private builders just keep their boards or return them!.
Haha@ its ok owners you can keep using your boards as normal until were ready to replace them.
new bmw owner gets a customer notice on his new car .
Dear customer,
Under heavy testing there has been a problem concerning 2nd gear.
For now what we recommend is not using second gear much, just change from 1st to 3rd unless you forget.
In some 5% of test samples the car eventually may not recognise 2nd gear at all..it will disappear.
Dont worry tho it will still be there with all its little cogs n stuff, just you wont be able to use it.
Sometime soon you will be able to send the gearbox back to be replaced, dont send back anything else or make noises about guarantees tho.
The first rule about guarantees is "dont talk about guarantees".

Checking around .. newegg is the only one that has pulled sandybridge cpu's and "discontinued" them until further notice.
All the others u can find them if u search the sites and order them and mbrds too if you check around but all at pre problem prices.
Of course what we want is "damaged" goods at sale prices! like now..we can work around sata 2 ,even get seperate controllers,as long as we can get hold of 1155 stock at a massive discount before everything is fixed. Im up for it!.
Another 2 weeks or a month wont hurt me anyway and it will be something interesting to keep an eye on and strike if the time is right.
What Im thinking of is the moderate volume cpu supplers will have lots of 2000 cpu's on order even the i3 which was supposed to be available this month.
Soo with any luck they will be getting deliveries. and wont be able to afford to wait or will have some agreement with mbrd suppliers/intel to
a have to unload the cpus at discount prices or that in conjuction with useable in sata 3(6gb/s) only mode with the option of a free mbrd replacement later.
Discounted mbrd too of course

.
That would be the end user ideal and I for one would chance it.
If nothing like that shows .I will of course moan as loud as anyone else about ,rushing products to retail is bad and all we want is reliable hardware.
No it isnt if we can get a great deal! otherwise weed just buy dellopackard matic pcs with no bios adjustment!.
